the white statues

The birds still sing
And the trees still grow
It feels like spring
In the valley below
I bend above the moving stream
I see myself in my own dream
Is concrete the medicine for green lands
The white statues barely stand
We should live underground
Since your so down
Sat in somebody else’s colours
Take your time be separate from others
Lament in hell and Hades, gray and old
You’ll sit there frightened of the cold
Is concrete the medicine for green lands
The white statues barely stand
It’s a noble way to choke
Second hand hydration in your throat
Now I admit I’m afraid

home for tea / requiem
02:02
|

The river still flows,
as the storm passes by.
Sat in our wet clothes
and it getting about time,
to get home for tea,
you are now truly free.
Under the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will
This be the verse you grave for me:
Here he lies where he longed to be;
Home is the sailor, home from sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.

the deadly dangers of

The dangers of the cigarette should be obvious to us all,
Start to smoke at any age and to the cigarette you’ll fall.
I remember Grandad when he failed to walk to far,
He sometimes failed to climb the stairs for his lungs had filled with tar.
He started smoking at an early age and found he couldn’t stop, his teeth turned out blacker than a pit prop.
The dangers of the cigarette should be obvious to us all, if you smoke at any age to the cigarette you’ll fall, it will happen to each of us if ever we forget, the habit forming dangers of the deadly cigarette.
The dangers of the deadly cigarette
The danger of the deadly cigarette.

Halling
04:55
|

Halling coal from the seams
Picking coal fom the grass
The world around me still beams
Though that the colour has passed
Halt I said to the charging land
Life returns to the ground
Bye bye to light and air
Our life is unfair
Halling the coal with machines
Picking some coal from the tip
I think it stays in the jeans
But i now just feel so sick
The world around me was green
Now it is just so unclean
This country is old
The country is cold
I prefer a cup of tea to a pint of beer
And Welsh choirs on the pier
- Veins -
Loose my life to the mountain
I’m not 16 anymore
I’ve found best way to get out of bed
Is working out how many years you have left
Ice cream with every meal
And we’ll see how I feel
The sawdust runs through my veins
Grab your detector
let’s drive to the beach
I hope you know I’m still in reach
